Within recycling and material recovery processes, sorting machinery plays a key role in the separation of input materials based on material characteristics i.e. weight and material type.

CRJ is the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for a leading manufacturer of sorting machinery; Steelweld. The Irish based company design and manufactures a market-leading range of innovative solutions to the waste recycling sector, including both an air separator and eddy current separator.

Each of the machines are capable of dealing with a range of waste streams (please see product page for details). Both of the machines can be powered via mains or by their 65kW onboard generator.

Steelweld Sorters

Steelweld Strobe ECS

The Strobe ECS is a mobile eddy current separator which uses a powerful magnetic field to separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

With quick set up times and an easy to use push button control panel, this machine is easily maintained and consistently delivers high performance.

Steelweld Rotary AST

The Rotary AST 1500 is a tracked mobile air separator which uses powerful fans to separate waste based on density. The input material is separated into two fractions, lights and heavies.

The air separator has a low feed height which allows it to be directly fed from a trommel; and has an adjustable feed belt, air system and air knife allowing for excellent separation control.

NIHOT Sorters

Nihot SDS-i Mobile Drum Separator

The Nihot SDS-i is a semi-mobile air separator, able to generate a precise heavy / light separation for a wide range of input materials.

With capacities up to 15 t/h and a fraction size up to +/-150 mm, the SDS-i is truly multifunctional, especially because of its flexible settings of control parameters.

Nihot Drum Separator

The Drum Separator is a combination of a recirculation fan, a separation section with a rotating drum and a connecting expansion chamber.

It is the best separating solution based on the density of the material at capacities up to 100 tonnes/hr of input and up to 25 tonnes/hr of separated light fraction.
