Rob Symons – Director

The ‘face of CRJ’, Rob has overall responsibility for CRJ’s plant hire and sales business. With over 15 years’ experience of waste management and plant hire operations, his skills range from sales and customer service through to mechanical engineering, waste operations and logistics, as well as his involvement in developing waste processing systems for some of the largest waste management organisations in the UK. With a fantastic network of contacts within the waste industry, Rob is positive, dedicated, very hard working and passionate about good customer service.

Lee Carter and Kevin Jones – Directors

The original founders of the CRJ business, Lee and Kevin saw an opportunity for recycling equipment hire in the waste industry. Diversifying from farming, they both have day to day involvement in the business, from financial management and purchasing to people management and processes.


 Paul Haviland – Head of Service Support

With over 20 years’ experience in engineering, Paul is a fully qualified Doppstadt Engineer. Paul leads our team of 12 mobile and CRJ based engineers and has an excellent all round skill level. Paul will help customers to diagnose problems either over the phone or by ensuring that an engineer is scheduled to attend customer sites for servicing and any other maintenance issues. He is professional, friendly and level headed, helping customers to be back up and running with minimum disruption, should anything go wrong.

Martin Bickerstaffe – Operations Manager

Martin is our man in the field and his role is to support customers whilst our equipment is on hire to them.  His role includes pre-hire customer site visits and installing equipment on delivery to get the optimum set up for our customers business needs. He also calls on customers regularly to check on how our equipment is performing. He helps to provide the important connecting role between our customers and our in house support teams.

Friendly and dedicated to helping our customers, Martin joined us from many years in the waste industry.  With experience in site management and running the type of equipment CRJ hires, he understands to how to get the best results from our equipment fleet.

Terry Martin – Head Engineer

With over 20 years’ experience in engineering, Terry is also a fully qualified Doppstadt Engineer. He is extremely capable, knowledgeable, multi skilled and has a meticulous approach to servicing, repairing and refurbishing machines to keep our fleet in good working order. Terry looks after the day to day workload of the CRJ based engineers.


Ali Wennell – Business Manager

Drawing on over 20 years’ business experience, Ali is responsible for managing the Hire and Finance Teams. She is responsible for Health and Safety, ensuring that the CRJ team and our customers’ employees stay safe when working with our recycling machinery. She also looks after Human Resources and is the main point of contact for our organics recycling contracts, as well as managing new projects and processes at CRJ. Ali is well organised, passionate about CRJ, and helps to keep the team on track.

Sylvia O’Meara – Plant, Transport and Logistics Manager

Experienced, dedicated and a great problem solver, Sylvia joined us in 2015 with extensive experience in the waste industry.  She is responsible for working across our Service Support and Hires Department to ensure our equipment is maintained, delivered and collected in the most efficient and cost effective way. She also looks after our fleet of wagons and driver team. Together with Rachel, she supports our Director, Rob in the management of our customer relationships.

Beth Carter – Accounts and Admin Assistant

Helpful and thorough, Beth joined CRJ Services in November 2015.  She is responsible for all our purchase invoices, manages our green waste intakes and supports the team with a whole host of other admin duties.   Any invoices to CRJ should be sent to Beth at the email address below.

Lisa Pimlott – Finance Officer

Lisa comes from a financial background is responsible for the finances of CRJ Services.  Her role involves all aspects of finance and she provides the management team with valuable information to help run our business. She also processes all our sales invoices and ensuring we receive monies from our customers. She is hard working, efficient and very good at explaining our charging to customers, and of course helping to get invoices paid on time!  If you have any queries about your invoices from CRJ, Lisa is your first point of contact.

Rachel Savage – Hires and Sales Administrator

Rachel provides a point of contact for customers, ensuring the appropriate information has been sent to them and that all hire documentation is in place prior to any hire starting.  Friendly and helpful, she also talks with customers during the hire period re extensions to hire periods, off hire and any other queries. Together with Sylvia, she supports our Director, Rob in the management of our customer relationships.

Wayne Drewett – Purchasing and Stores Manager

With a good background in purchasing and stores management, Wayne is responsible for ensuring that we have the right parts at the right time at the right price to ensure minimal downtime for our hire fleet. Knowledgeable and supportive, Wayne places all our orders at CRJ, manages relationships with suppliers and ensures our stores are stocked appropriately. Wayne also runs our parts sales department.

Brian Parker – Stores Controller

Brian’s career has been in stores management, and is keeping our stores at CRJ in meticulous order. He’s passionate about keeping our engineers stocked with the parts they need to turn our hire equipment around quickly and ensure we can respond quickly with any item required on customer sites.  He orders some of our fast moving parts and is working hard to get best prices for CRJ.

David James – Stores Assistant

Joining CRJ in 2016, Dave is our new Stores Assistant.  His main role is to issue stock out to our engineers, manage goods in and out and helping Brian to organise our ever-growing parts department.


 Adam Longmore and Josh Gill – Mobile Service Engineers

Our dedicated and resourceful guys in the field, Adam and Josh are our qualified engineers who ensure that customers’ operations are kept running with minimal disruption. Covering the whole of the UK, the team are called on to service our equipment and diagnose and fix any faults, should they occur.


Tom Maddock and Prez Jackubowski – Workshop Team Leaders

Prez and Tom are two experienced engineers who have been with CRJ for a number of years. In 2016, both have been promoted to Team Leader postitions, responsible for a team each. Focussed and hard working, their key role is to ensure our equipment moves quickly and efficiently through our workshop inspection/repair process in the timescales needed for our customers. They are also responsible for looking after Heath and Safety within their teams.


Artur Pronobis, Graeme Milne, Josh Gill, Martin Wright, Eoin Mckenna, Jordan Platt, Chris Cagna, Stuart Lowe and Joe Symons – CRJ based engineers and welders

Our hard working and skilled team based at the CRJ site, focused on major refurbishments and turning machines around to go back out on hire.  These guys get your equipment out on hire on time!


Gary Martin – Driver and Shredder Operator

Our multi talented drivers/shredder operators spends his weeks out on the road attending customer sites to complete shredding work for them.  Experienced, self-motivated and with a good sense of humour Gary provides a green and wood waste shredding service Nationwide.


Rob Green, John Ransom and Chad Martin – Delivery and Collection Drivers

Rob, John and Chad are our key delivery drivers, taking equipment to our customers, inducting them in how to use it and making sure the machine is set up correctly.  Skilled and flexible, they are often the people our customers see most often, they are an important part of our customer facing team.


Ben Ravenscroft – Yard Person

Ben is based at the CRJ site and ensures that the site is kept in tip top order and that machines are prepared for the workshop.  Ben has a good sense of humour and is committed to supporting the rest of the team.
