Rob Symons - Director
Rob has over 15 years’ experience of waste management and plant hire operations.
His skills range from sales and customer service through to mechanical engineering, waste operations and logistics. Furthermore, Rob has an involvement in developing waste processing systems for some of the largest waste management organisations in the UK. Rob has a fantastic network of contacts within the waste industry, and is hard working and passionate about good customer service.

Ben McQuaid - Director
Ben has vast experience in the recycling and material processing equipment industry. Ben started Matpro Machinery Ltd, an equipment dealership representing a number of world-renowned OEM brands, in 2014.
Following a successful period of collaboration between Matpro and CRJ, it was agreed that Matpro Machinery would become the sales arm of CRJ Services, ‘CRJ Sales’. As a result, Ben now sits on the board of directors at CRJ Services Ltd, and heads up the equipment sales division.

Lee Carter - Director
An original founder of the CRJ business. Lee and the then directors saw an opportunity for recycling equipment hire in the waste industry. Diversifying from farming, Lee has a day to day involvement in the business, from financial management and purchasing to people management and processes.
Kevin Jones - Director
Kevin was an orignial founder of CRJ Services, and was part of the team that diversified from their farming operations into the hiring of recycling and material processing equipment.
Ali Wennell - Business Manager
Drawing on over 20 years’ business experience, Ali is responsible for managing the Finance Teams.
She is also responsible for Health and Safety. Therefore ensuring that the CRJ team and our customers’ employees stay safe when working with our recycling machinery. She also looks after Human Resources as well as managing new projects and processes at CRJ. In addition, Ali is well organised, passionate about CRJ, and helps to keep the team on track.
Simon Keen - Head of Services
Simon joined our team in June 2019.
He is an experienced business manager, engineer and trainer, with a background in heavy plant. For this reason, Simon is focussed internally, on the quality and efficiency of our engineering teams, and their associated processes.
Sylvia O'Meara - UK & Ireland Sales & Hire Manager
Sylvia joined CRJ in 2015 with extensive experience of the waste industry. Thanks to this knowledge, Sylvia is a great problem solver, and is dedicated to ensuring the hire and sales side of our business is coordinated and runs smoothly.
Sylvia manages the field based UK and Ireland sales team from our head office in Cheshire. Aside from this, Sylvia has overall responsibility for the hire desk, our wagons, drivers and operator teams.
Paul Barnston - Key Account Manager
Paul joined the CRJ team as a Key Account Manager, with a background of around 40 years in the materials handling, processing & recycling, plant machinery hire & sales industries.
Mike Symons - Area Sales Manager
Mike has grown up with CRJ Services. As a result, he has extensive knowledge of a range of recycling and material processing machinery, both from a technical and operational standpoint. He started full time with CRJ back in 2016 after completing a university degree. Mike is now a key part of the sales team as an Area Sales Manager, covering the Midlands.
Damian Casey - Area Sales Manager
Damian joined CRJ Services in 2016 as the after sales manager. Having gradually learnt more and more about the industry, Damian later moved into a sales role in 2018. He is now the Area Sales Manager for Ireland and Scotland. In his spare time he enjoys playing hurling back home in Ireland.
Becky Curley - Hires Controller
Becky provides a point of contact for our hire customers. Becky ensures the appropriate information has been sent to our clients and that all hire documentation is in place prior to a hire starting. Friendly and helpful, she also speaks with customers during the hire period regarding extensions to hire periods, off-hire and any other queries. In addition to this, Becky supports our Director, Rob with the management of our customer relationships.
Rachel Savage - Hire & Sales Administrator
Rachel has been with CRJ since 2011, and has a great understanding of our internal processes and operations. Rachel is thorough, attentive and assists the sales and hires team with admin support, ensuring all correct documentation is complete and available to relevant team members.
Tom McLaren - Marketing Manager
Joining CRJ in May 2018, Tom is our Marketing Manager. He has a degree in Marketing Management and is responsible for the companies entire marketing activities.
This recently included the amalgamation of the Matpro Machinery brand into CRJ Services.
Wayne Drewett - Part Sales & Purchasing Manager
Wayne manages our ever growing part sales business, sourcing quality parts and ensuring we are able to offer great value to our customers.
With a background in purchasing and stores management, Wayne is responsible for ensuring that we have the right parts at the right time at the right price. Knowledgeable and supportive, Wayne places all our orders at CRJ, manages relationships with suppliers.
Tom Maddock - Service Manager
Tom is our service manager. He ‘hung up’ his tools following 8 years working as a mobile engineer and then as a team leader of one of our engineering teams. As a result, he now uses his hands-on experience to troubleshoot and support our customer’s operations.
Tom’s role involves arranging the servicing of both the CRJ hire fleet, as well as our customers machines. In addition to this, he is on-hand to dispatch his mobile engineering team to keep our customer’s operations up and running.
Terry Martin - Workshop Manager
Terry is also a fully qualified Doppstadt Engineer, with over 20 years’ experience in engineering.
Moreover, he is extremely capable, knowledgeable, multi-skilled and has a meticulous approach to servicing, repairing and refurbishing machines. Terry looks after the day to day workload of the CRJ based engineers.
Lisa Gibson - Finance Manager
Lisa comes from a financial background and is responsible for the finances of the hire and parts business streams. She provides the management team with valuable information to help run our business. Lisa is hard working, efficient and very good at explaining our charging to customers, and of course, helping to get invoices paid on time!
Therefore, if you have any queries about your invoices from an equipment hire or parts sale, Lisa is your first point of contact.
Vicky Lunn - Finance Manager
Vicky joined us in July 2017 and is a part qualified Management Accountant. She currently manages the finance of equipment sales and the maintenance / servicing of our customer’s machines.
Vicky is diligent, efficient and plays a key role in helping our directors to forecast. Therefore, if you have any queries about your invoices from an equipment purchase or machine servicing, Vicky is your first point of contact.
Stephen Robinson - Finance Manager
Stephen has been with CRJ since October 2019, and joined the finance team to provide maternity cover. Stephen is diligent and hard working. He manages a range of functions within the finance department, and has become a vital member of the team.
Beth Carter - Finance Assistant
Helpful and thorough, Beth joined CRJ Services in November 2015. She is responsible for all our purchase invoices and supports the team with a whole host of other admin duties. Therefore, any invoices to CRJ should be sent to Beth at the email address below.
Brian Parker - Stores Manager
Brian’s career has been in stores management and is keeping our stores at CRJ in meticulous order. He’s passionate about keeping our engineers stocked with the parts they need to turn our hire equipment around quickly. Enabling us to respond quickly with any item required on customer sites.
In addition to this, he also orders some of our fast moving parts and is working hard to get the best prices for CRJ.
Andy Whalley - Stores Person
Andy is our Stores Person. His main role is to issue stock out to our engineers, manage goods in and out and to help Brian to organise our ever-growing parts department.
Matt Sherratt - Stores Assistant
Matt joined CRJ in 2019, and is part of our stores team. His role involves the administration and support of the stores operation. Including the packaging of parts and coordinating of deliveries.
Ben Ravenscroft - Yard Operative
Ben is based at the CRJ site. He ensures that the site is kept in tip-top order and that machines are prepared for the workshop. Ben has a good sense of humour and is committed to supporting the rest of the team.
Tony Sheen - Workshop Team Leader
Prez Jakubowski - Workshop Team Leader
Tony and Prez are two experienced engineers who have been with CRJ for a number of years. Both have been promoted to Team Leader positions, responsible for a team each of their teams. Focused and hard working, their key role is to ensure our equipment moves quickly and efficiently through our workshop inspection/repair process in the timescales needed for our customers. They are also responsible for looking after health and safety within their teams.

Our workshop teams are experts when it comes to the servcing and repair of recycling and material processing equipment. They are hardworking and highly skilled, and focused on major refurbishments and turning machines around to go back out on hire. Based at our CRJ HQ, these guys get your equipment out on hire on time!
Mobile Service Engineers

Our mobile service engineers are a crucial part of our operation. They are strategically located around the country, enabling them to attend our customers sites quickly, to make sure any issues are resolved efficiently. They are equipped with a service van kitted out with tools and parts to conduct many routine checks and fixes on site, getting our customers back up and running as quickly as possible.
Driver & Operator Team

Our driver and operator team our imperative to the sucess of CRJ. They deliver and collect our equipment from around the country.
Rob, John and Chad are our key delivery drivers. They deliver equipment to our customer’s sites, set up the machinery and complete a full induction for customer staff. Skilled and flexible, they are often the people our customers see most often, therefore an important part of our customer facing team.
Our multi-talented shredder operators spend weeks out on the road attending customer sites to complete shredding work for them. Self-motivated with a good sense of humour, both Joe and Gary provide an exceptional green and wood waste shredding service nationwide
